​​To enhance the vibrancy of Bridgewater Massachusetts by providing a place and resources for live entertainment as one piece in the fabric leading to Bridgewater becoming a Massachusetts Cultural Center.

​​Mission of Friends of Music Alley

The Friends of Music Alley (FoMA) exists to make free, high-quality live music accessible to Bridgewater and surrounding communities.

FoMA works in partnership with the Town of Bridgewater, which owns and maintains the infrastructure of Music Alley (pavers, arch, stage, furniture, planters, and other hardware) and holds the entertainment license. The fundraising arm of the partnership, FoMA, also provides administrative and financial support to schedule / pay performers, promote performances, organize food vending and care for other non-infrastructure needs.

​The Board meets a few times a year to make decisions about the direction of Music Alley.  Board Members participate in various committees, coordinates fundraising efforts and promotes Music Alley, among other duties.

2020 Season Finale Fundraiser Video
Back at the end of the pandemic-stricken 2020 season, the Friends of Music Alley 501(c)(3) put together a special performance that they streamed live from The Music Loft in Bridgewater's Central Square.  This performance was special because it followed a season that featured online streaming performances while our community could not gather due to the ongoing global pandemic. 

​This fundraiser was special not only because it featured the Grammy Nominated G Love and live performances from performers that had graced the Music Alley stage in prior seasons like Mountain Weekend, Abigail Vail, and Riley Welch.  This performance was streamed live and then repackaged and broadcast by BTV in an effort to help Music Alley raise funds for future in-person season.  Take some time to watch some of this fundraiser to witness the time when G Love, Mountain Weekend, Abigail Vail, and Riley Welch helped us ensure high-quality live music would continue to be provided to our community for free into what was then an uncertain future.
